When I lived in San Diego , California , which belonged to a fish club had over 100 members and about 10 of these members had specific rooms or incubators fish for type of fish raised. I now live in Grand Island , Nebraska , and I am setting up my own room to increase fish angelfish. I have several pairs of marble angels orange koi and want to develop some lines of new and improved color. I also plan to raise some killifish, shrimp cherry half moon bettas.
Before leaving San Diego , who toured some of the rooms and nurseries for fish and took pictures and notes on what others were doing. I moved about 10 tanks of fish to Nebraska , but every weekend I'm going garage sale hunting for tanks and equipment used and so far I have found about 15 more 10 gallon tanks and a strange size. Then I have to buy a pallet rack to keep most of these tanks. If you can find a local fishing club in your town, find the help you need. It instead, start with what you have and grow at their own pace. A central filter system is expensive and complicated, but only saves time. You can make your own changes water and maintenance of a fraction of the cost and without a degree in chemistry.
Experiment with many different species as you can so you'll have a broad knowledge of the attention of fish. Then you know where your talents, abilities and interests are strongest. Buy cheap used equipment so you can also try a variety of different products.
When you finally need to buy new equipment know what you want and you do not waste your money on unnecessary things. As with most things in life, try to think outside the box when you are facing a challenge or problem. Creativity can put in front of the crowd instead of behind the first step. No hurts to ask for advice, but try to figure things out for him whenever possible. If you can, you will be successful!
